Mike and Melissa met through their mutual friend Jeff around Christmas, 1998, when the trio decided to extricate themselves from sub-optimal living arrangements by becoming roommates in a rather nice townhouse. After the moving was taken care of, Melissa told Mike of the Cthulhu Coffee idea, and Mike instantly began brewing slogans in his head. Over fifty slogans originated from Mike in a few hours while the three roommates dined at The Gardens of Salonica one evening (a restaurant that is not at all evil).
Despite his large contribution to the creative success of Cthulhu Coffee 1999, Mike has not yet attended CONvergence and has been unable to see the fruits of his work. He has, however, continued to aid the project via technical support for the web site. He has spent many, many evenings on the telephone with US West, demanding that they repair our fixed IP addresses.
Mike was, at one point, one of Melissa's roommates in Minneapolis. He is one of the reasons that the basement of their townhouse at the time was filled with dozens of computers. He is currently staying on a budget by playing EverQuest day and night rather than maintaining a social life. He's tired of dating psychos.
