Rating: Two shoggoths out of five
Nutshell: This unfinished story begins with a dreamer a dystopian future filled with gray cities. Commentary: Lovecraft sometimes has a tendancy to get completely wrapped up in trying to set down his dreams on paper, and this is an excellent example of that. It is evident he became so enthralled with describing this drean that the story never progressed beyond a page or so, and thus this fragment remains just that. It's very poetic and worth a look, but "Azathoth" offers little more than that. |
