Where have all our lesbians gone?  Apparently, they are being harvested by vampires for their skin.  The idea is that the vampires are using complicated skin grafting techniques to make them immune from sunlight.  They harvest lesbians because they are "deviants" and won't be missed.

So the vampire problem is growing.  Parishioners from Father Eustace's church are disappearing, and he sends Father Alban, the punk rock priest, out to find the one man that can save us all from the vampire menace.

That one man is Christ himself.

He's been hanging around, baptizing people for a while and needs something better to do.  When Father Alban Shows up to ask his help, they are attacked by vampires, and Alban and another priest are killed. Jesus then jumps into the fray and begins his fight against the creatures of the night... well, after a haircut, a few piercings, and a big musical number anyway.

This was a very poorly shot film.  It was badly acted and badly dubbed.  It was, however, well written.  It's funny as hell, intentionally and unintentionally.  Things happen in this film that just have to be seen.  Jesus' fight against the atheists is a riot ("Real enough for ya?"), and the nightclub battle is hysterical.  The fact that Jesus gets help from a Mexican Wrestler named Santos, and that there is a happy ending for almost everybody, including some of the vampires, makes it all worthwhile.

I'd like to sit here and talk about all my favorite parts of the film, but I want everyone to see this movie.  Buy it, rent it, Netflix it like I did.  Just see it.  It's low budget, it's hokey, and it's a hell of a lot of fun.
